St. Paul's Cathedral is the masterpiece of the architect Sir Christopher Wren and part of his plan for the rebuilding of London following the Great Fire of 1666 which destroyed much of the original Medieval city.

St. Paul's Cathedral also stands at the very heart of some momentous occasions in British history including the state funerals of such celebrated warriors as Lord Nelson, the Duke of Wellington and Sir Winston Churchill.

Other momentous events here include the Jubilee celebrations for Queen Victoria and, of course, the royal wedding of Prince Charles to Lady Diana. Diana's funeral took place at Westminster Abbey.

The Millennium Bridge (London Millennium Footbridge) over the River Thames in London is one of the capital's most recent bridges along with the Golden Jubilee Bridges which flank Hungerford Bridge.

It crosses the river from Bankside on the south bank to St. Paul's Cathedral in the City.

A steel suspension bridge for pedestrians only it opened in June 2000, only to close two days later for around two years to correct its swaying motion. The motion earned the bridge the nickname "Wobbly Bridge."
