Stanley Park in Liverpool dates from 1870 and covers approximately 111 acres. Edward Kemp (1817-1891), a renowned landscape architect mostly active in the northwest of England, designed the park. His other commissions in the area include Birkenhead Park (with Joseph Paxton), Halton Grange in Runcorn and the adjacent Anfield Cemetery. The park is named after Lord Stanley of Preston.

The park separates Anfield and Goodison Park football stadiums, the homes of fierce rivals Liverpool FC and Everton respectively. The Victorian park has been renovated and restored over the years and is now a Grade II listed Historic Park.

Within the park attractions include the Isla Gladstone Conservatory, a beautifully restored Victorian glasshouse that hosts events, including matchday hospitality for Liverpool FC, weddings, and a café.

In addition, the park features formal gardens, lakes, and wildlife areas, providing a tranquil and peaceful setting for visitors.

There is also a traditional Victorian bandstand used for concerts and events. As well, there are football pitches, a bowling green, and playgrounds for children.

The park is open daily from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm.
