Stockport Town Hall on the A6 in Stockport, Greater Manchester is an impressive Edwardian Baroque-style building that has served as the civic heart of the town since its opening in 1908.

Designed by architect Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas, who also designed Belfast City Hall, the building is renowned for its grand façade, featuring Corinthian columns and intricate stone carvings.

One of its most striking features is the 130-foot-high clock tower, which dominates the northern town's skyline. Inside, the town hall boasts a magnificent ballroom, known as the "Stockport Marble Staircase and Ballroom," adorned with elegant chandeliers and Italian marble.

Throughout its history, the town hall has been a center for governance, hosting council meetings, public events, and weddings. With its rich architectural details and historical significance, Stockport Town Hall remains a prominent landmark and a symbol of civic pride.

Another building of architectural interest in the town and a Grade II listed building is Pear Mill in Bredbury.
