Tower Bridge is one of the most famous landmarks in London, spanning the River Thames with its distinctive Victorian Gothic towers and elegant suspension design. Completed in 1894, the bridge was engineered by Sir John Wolfe Barry and designed by Sir Horace Jones, combining a bascule (drawbridge) mechanism with suspension elements to accommodate passing ships on the river.

The two towering structures, clad in Cornish granite and Portland stone, give the bridge its fairy-tale appearance, while the high-level walkways offer excellent views of the city.

At night, Tower Bridge, like other London landmarks such as the London Eye and Houses of Parliament is beautifully illuminated, with its lights reflecting off the Thames.

Still a vital crossing for vehicles and pedestrians in the area, the bridge also houses an exhibition inside, showcasing its history and original Victorian-era machinery. As both a functional crossing and a historic attraction, Tower Bridge remains a beloved symbol of London's architectural and engineering brilliance.
