Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery (BMAG) is renowned for its extensive collection of art, history, and archaeology. Opened in 1885, the museum is housed in a grand Victorian building in the center of Birmingham. The museum displays a diverse range of exhibits from ancient civilizations to contemporary art.

BMAG is particularly famous for its collection of Pre-Raphaelite paintings, one of the largest in the world, featuring works by artists such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Edward Burne-Jones. The museum also houses artifacts from Ancient Egypt, the Staffordshire Hoard of Anglo-Saxon gold, and exhibits on Birmingham's industrial heritage.
