Marple Junction in Marple, a suburb of Stockport in Greater Manchester, is the meeting point of the Peak Forest and Macclesfield canals.

It is close to Marple Arqueduct - the tallest aqueduct in England, and the second tallest aqueduct in the UK after Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Wales. Marple Locks, completed in 1804, is also nearby.

The Peak Forest Canal opened in 1800 followed in 1831 by the Macclesfield Canal, designed by Thomas Telford.

The Ring of Bells is a pleasant Robinson's pub a short walk from Marple Junction. Also within easy walking distance is the classic, independent Regent Cinema housed in the Old Union Rooms built in 1878 by Thomas Carver, a local mill owner. Slightly further afield are The Garden House, Marple lime kilns and the ruins of Mellor Mill (Oldknow's Mill), once the largest mill building in the world, which burnt down in 1892. Both the mill and the lime kilns were built by Samuel Oldknow.
