Images of Britain: Tudor House Inn, Warwick

Tudor House Inn was a hotel, restaurant, and pub in the medieval town of Warwick. Just a stone's throw from the famous Warwick Castle, Tudor House was built in the late 15th century as a coaching inn. It was a magnificent example of a Tudor half-timbered structure both inside and out. Many of the rooms were ensuite, and as well as the restaurant there was pub food available in the bar. To the rear was a small beer garden. It became a Spanish tapas bar called Flamenco but that also subsequently closed. Next door is another, smaller Tudor building housing The Castle Inn pub also with several original period features including wooden beams, a stained glass window and log fire.
