On the left is Dock House, one of the buildings used by the BBC, and on the right, Orange Tower, home to ITV Granada, Kellogg’s and various departments of Salford University. BBC Dock House acts as a localized hub for niche BBC production teams, including Research & Development, Religion & Ethics, and the team for BBC Radio 6 Music. Dock House was completed in 2010 and was designed by architects WilkinsonEyre. Tours of the building are available.

The 11-storey Orange Tower dates from 2011 and was designed by architecture firm Sheppard Robson.

MediaCityUK in the Salford Quays area of Manchester close to The Lowry, The Lowry Outlet Mall, and the Imperial War Museum North s a large new development in this canal side area.
