Images of Britain: Thames Riverboats

The River Thames flows majestically through the center of London. Sailing on one of the many riverboats that plough the waterway is a great way to see the city.
Take in London's many bridges, as well as the historic and contemporary buildings that line its banks such as the London Eye, the Globe Theatre and St Paul's Cathedral.
Boats leave from Westminster Pier close to the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben east towards Greenwich and west to Kew Gardens and Richmond.
Thames Clippers (Uber Boat by Thames Clippers) calls at 23 piers along the Thames from Putney Pier to Woolwich (Royal Arsenal) Pier. Boats run from early in the morning until late at night 7 days a week. Like the tube the Thames is divided into zones - West Zone, Central Zone and East Zone. Fares can be purchased using an Oyster Card.
